Harper Adams University is a internationally recognised food focused higher education establishment. It is currently the only place in the UK to offer a MRes in Urban Agriculture and has the Urban Farming Group, a multidisciplinary group of academic staff that engage in enhancing research, networking and collaboration in urban agriculture, as well as providing and developing training. Facilities on site include glasshouses, vertical racks, polytunnels and engineering capabilities to test and trial fresh produce related technologies for urban food production. The Regional Food Academy offer facilities to test produce quality and processing, including packaging equipment, and sensory laboratories to explore taste. Highly collaborative Harper Adams university works with many other universities and companies in urban, and CEA farming, across the UK and beyond.
