Henry Gordon-Smith is a sustainability strategist focused on urban agriculture, water issues, and emerging technologies. Henry earned his BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, coursework in Food Security and Urban Agriculture from Ryerson University in Toronto, and an MSc in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. In 2014, Henry responded to a global need for technology-agnostic guidance on urban agriculture by launching the advisory firm Agritecture Consulting which has now consulted on over 150 urban agriculture projects in over 25 countries.

Jessica Fong is the co-founder of Common Farms, a Hong Kong-based urban farm launched in 2017 that grows greens, herbs and edible flowers, supplying some of Hong Kong’s top restaurants and offering a home-delivery service. Its indoor vertical farming model is helping more people to eat fresh and local. Fong was inspired by the produce of Italy.

Chris Jones is a Circular Economy Built Environment Specialist and a Landscape and Urban Designer. Chris was motivated by the redevelopment in his home city to study relevant subjects and was awarded BA degrees in Landscape Architecture at the Manchester Metropolitan University before embarking on an eclectic career. Working and living in diverse countries and cities, Chris observed that conventional planning and design approaches appear sometimes less able to keep up with the pace of change and dynamic nature of fast growing cities, and in the search for meaningful tools for citizens to contribute to tackling challenges, Chris began to explore the power of fixing cities by fixing food systems and established www.FeedingCities.info as his platform for developing these concepts and projects.

Katia Zacharaki is an experienced Agronomist, with strong technical and business experience in soil-less production of strawberries, micro-greens and herbs. Holds a MSc in Agricultural Engineering and a MBA in Agribusiness, and before here entrance in the Urban Farming industry she spent some time teaching at undergraduate Agriculture and Countryside Management degrees. Since 2019 she is part-time PhD student at Harper Adams University. Her PhD is focused on the optimisation of LED technologies for strawberries in TCEA (Total Controlled Environment Agriculture).
