The future of the office is green!

The future of the office is green!

“Essentially, the places where we work should be just as important as the places we live”. (CBRE) The current lockdown has raised lots of questions about the future of the workplace and how it may change going forward. Square Mile Farms believe in the enduring importance of the office. For us, the current situation, with Covid-19 keeping us at home, has just highlighted this further, although it’s also raised some of the issues with office working that we want to help solve! While there are some pros to working from home, it’s hard to replicate the benefits of face-to-face interaction with colleagues at the office. Meiny Prins about the Sustainable Urban Delta

Meiny Prins about the Sustainable Urban Delta

Imagine… The year is 2050. From all over the world leaders of mega-cities gather for working visits. Priva campus and De…

The only constant is change. It’s a truism, but the outcomes are profound. For an example, you only need to look at Brexit in the UK. Whatever your political opinion on the European Union, it is undeniable that the world is, in many ways, radically different to how it was four decades ago when we joined the Common Market. The effects of this change are immensely complex and no one really knows how it will all turn out in the end. Brexit…

UKUAT – A Brief History

UKUAT – A Brief History

It started out with a group of perhaps 5 people. Mark Horler, our founder, brought these people together to just have a chat about the industry in the UK. The short version, though it may seem hard to believe now, is that there really wasn’t that much of an industry in this country then. There were only a handful of companies developing tech and systems as well as a couple of universities with an interest in the general area. However, slowly but surely, that number began to grow, and so did the number of people in that little group. At some point in late 2017, it was agreed that we ought to give it a name, and so UK Urban…
