• Project duration: 6 to 12 months 
• Funding focus: Earlier stage R&D to close technology gaps before scale up 
• Key requirements:
  • Collaboration required, led by a UK registered business. 
  • Focus on proving technologies in real world or near commercial conditions 

• Positioning: Step before Experimental Development

• Deadline: 3 June 2026, 11:00am
• Project size: £1M to £3M total project costs 
• Project duration: 6 to 18 months 
• Funding focus: Late stage development to reach manufacturing scale and market adoption 
• Key requirements: 
  • Must be collaborative and led by a UK registered business. 
  • Work must be carried out in the UK and exploited in the UK 
  • Strong emphasis on scalability, supply chains, and commercial readiness
